Nemertean Mapping Project

What originally began as an attempt to generate static maps for the locality data of the different species, has been remade again and again in hopes of attaining the perfect system. First attempt was a java applet that would read from the database and plot coordinates on a saved image of the world. Second attempt was to utilize the already brandished ArcGIS webversion -ArcIMS- to generate the maps in a more proffesional way, alas ArcIMS required it's own Windows2000 server and such accomodations caused their own set of problems. Third time is a charm as you will hopefully find the third attempt, a hookup to KGS mappper integrated with our database, to be a pleasant experience. Below are links to the attempts, note that the Java Applet requires that you have Java installed.
